Hawaii County’s Lame Website,Time Warner Cable & Viacom Reach A Last Minute Agreement

1 01 2009

Doug at Poinography made this accurate observation about how lame Hawaii County’s website is.

“[META: Is there a County with a more amateurish web presence?! Sheesh.]”

John Powell at Kona-a pedestrian view elaborates further on this here.He asserts that even though we have the lamest county website in Hawaii there is worse county websites on the mainland.

Hopefully Mayor Kenoi’s Public Relations Specialist, Hunter Bishop, can do something to update Hawaii County’s antiquated website.

Lastly, Time Warner Cable & Viacom were able to reach a last minute agreement tonight. Thus staving off Viacom pulling  their programing from all Time Warner Cable systems.

You know it’s bad when the copyright notice at the bottom of the home page reads 2001. It’s shameful that the population of the Big Island and those off-island don’t have a better resource to find information about the county government’s operations and services. It truly looks and functions like something from 1998.
