Kauai’s Hawaii Superferry opponents celebrated the one year anniversary of their successful blocking of the HSF.All I can say is Kauai’s loss is the Big Island’s gain. I’m personally looking forward to HSF starting service to Kawaihae by the middle of next year.

I was poking through the referring sites that directed traffic to my blog recently. During that search, I found  this blog posting which detailed the current funding for the Saddle Road improvement project.

Speaking of Saddle Road, Andrew Cooper just blogged that the DPW has resurfaced Saddle Road up to the Kilohana Girl Scout Camp at m.m 43.It should be very interesting to see how much farther the DPW will get before the end of August.

Howard Dicus blogged about why gas prices in areas outside of Honolulu,Wailuku and Hilo are not normally monitored.

Lastly, I got word that the county financed section of the Manawalea street extension is going to be getting a final inspection soon. However the DHHL financed section will probably take an additional 3 months to complete.
